Opening this Sunday, December 21, Collecting Impressionism at LACMA explores the rich evolution of the museum’s Impressionist collection—from early California Impressionist donations to significant acquisitions across prints, photography, fashion, and decorative arts. The exhibition also features major recent gifts, including Claude Monet’s The Artist’s Garden, Vétheuil (1881) and Vincent van Gogh’s Tarascon Stagecoach (1888), marking LACMA’s first painting by the artist.
