RECORDING ACADEMY® LAUNCHES GRAMMY GO™ WITH COURSERA: EMPOWERING MUSIC'S NEXT GENERATION

SANTA MONICA, CALIF. (APRIL 17, 2024)* — The Recording Academy® announces the launch of GRAMMY GO™, a cutting-edge online initiative in partnership with Coursera, a leading online learning platform. Aimed at music creators and industry professionals, GRAMMY GO provides practical, real-world knowledge to fuel both personal and professional growth. With a diverse range of courses taught by industry experts, including GRAMMY® winners and nominees, this collaboration underscores the Academy's commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation within the music community.

Enrollment is now open for the inaugural specialization on Coursera, titled "Building Your Audience for Music Professionals." Led by Joey Harris, international music/marketing executive, and CEO of Joey Harris Inc., the course features insights from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Jam, GRAMMY nominees Janelle Monáe and Victoria Monét. Participants will gain invaluable skills to cultivate a loyal audience and establish a strong brand presence in today's dynamic music industry.

The partnership's second course, "Music Production: Crafting An Award-Worthy Song," will launch later this summer. Led by Carolyn Malachi, Howard University professor, and GRAMMY nominee, the course will provide essential audio and technological skills for aspiring music producers. Special appearances by industry heavyweights including GRAMMY winner CIRKUT, Hit-Boy, Stevie Mackey, Harvey Mason jr., and Judith Sherman promise an enriching learning experience.
