As part of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, the 12th edition of the Venice Gap-Financing Market (August 29–31, 2025) returns with a powerful slate of 67 projects in the final stages of development, offering filmmakers a rare opportunity to close financing through curated one-on-one meetings with global industry leaders.
Organized by the Venice Production Bridge, this year’s selection includes 40 fiction and documentary films, 14 immersive experiences, 10 Biennale College Cinema – Immersive titles, and 3 Biennale College Cinema features. The event continues to build momentum as a key international co-production hub, fostering global storytelling across form, genre, and technology.
The 2025 VPB Focus shines a spotlight on the United Kingdom, Chile, and Morocco—showcasing powerful new voices from these regions. Projects range from poetic VR narratives and hybrid documentaries to cross-cultural fiction features, including titles like A Town in Nova Scotia (UK), Dog Legs (Chile), and The Missing Camel (Morocco).
Hosted at Venice’s iconic Hotel Excelsior and Venice Immersive Island, the market will connect creators with top financiers, distributors, streamers, and post-production partners.
The full Book of Projects will be released later in July on veniceproductionbridge.org, where accredited professionals can request meetings and explore what’s next in global independent cinema and immersive storytelling.
Stay tuned — the future of storytelling is unfolding in Venice.
