Stars Shine at the 21st Zurich Film Festival: From Dwayne Johnson to Jodie Foster

The Zurich Film Festival returns from September 25 to October 5, 2025, showcasing the finest in auteur cinema. This year’s “Gala Premieres” promises Hollywood glamour and European artistry, featuring Dwayne Johnson as a sensitive wrestler in THE SMASHING MACHINE, Jodie Foster in the French drama VIE PRIVÉE, and Matthias Schweighöfer in THE LIFE OF WISHES.

The festival also hosts world premieres of German films THEN LIFE HAPPENS and MOMO, alongside a thrilling European debut: Paul Greengrass’s wildfire drama THE LOST BUS, starring Matthew McConaughey and America Ferrera.
