The 10th Annual Hard Hats & High Heels Cocktail Reception & Silent Auction brought together over 300 of Miami’s professional, philanthropic, and social leaders for a night of celebration, purpose, and impact. Hosted at the stunning Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, the event marked a milestone year for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami, raising nearly $215,000 in support of affordable homeownership for single mothers.

Led by a powerhouse 2025 Host Committee—Chair Lydia Sacasa, Co-Chair Lourdes Rey-Wilson, Sponsorship Chair Yesenia Moreno, and Chair Emeriti Erbi Blanco-True and Yvonne Debesa—the evening featured open bars, gourmet bites, a 360 photo booth, music, and a vibrant silent auction.

The heart of the night came during a moving video spotlight on Marilet Torres, one of nine women whose homes were sponsored through this initiative. Her powerful story of overcoming cancer, raising children, and battling rising rent underscored the transformative power of stable housing.

Returning homeowners like Shercola Watson, Karla Romero, and Mitchalener Semper joined the celebration, sharing stories that reflect a decade of resilience and hope.
