Miami’s premier early childhood learning institution transformed into a space-inspired wonderland for its signature annual fundraising event. The Miami Children’s Museum held its 2026 “Be A Kid Again” Gala at the museum, bringing together civic leaders, philanthropists, and community advocates for a cosmic-themed evening centered on early childhood art, science, culture, and literacy.
Chaired by Christina and David Martin, this year’s gala adopted the theme "Out of This World," converting the venue with immersive space décor, interactive surprises, and high-energy entertainment designed to ignite the wonder of discovery.

The evening kicked off with official opening remarks from Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, welcoming attendees and celebrating the institution’s impact across South Florida. Serving as the master of ceremonies for the night was six-time Emmy Award-winning journalist Laurie Jennings, who guided guests through the program and live festivities.
“This year’s Out of This World theme captures the imagination and sense of possibility that defines our city and Miami Children’s Museum,” shared gala chairs Christina and David Martin. “Our goal is to create a magical evening that not only dazzles our guests but also fuels the museum’s ability to provide transformative programs and access for children across our community.”
