The Voices For Children Foundation marked its 40th anniversary with an unforgettable night at the 2025 “Be A Voice” Gala, held at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami. The black-tie affair, themed “Fostering Hope,” raised over $1 million in support of the more than 1,600 children in Miami-Dade’s foster care system.
The sold-out evening brought together community leaders, philanthropists, and advocates, and featured electric performances by “Modern Piano Man” Louis Middleton and America’s Got Talent semi-finalist Yoli Mayor. Guests enjoyed Gérard Bertrand wines, No. 3 Gin cocktails, and an elegant dinner, all while bidding on exclusive auction items—from a luxury Hästens Maranga bed to a smile makeover by Dr. Oscar Sanchez.
A heartfelt testimonial from a youth impacted by VFC’s work reminded attendees of the real reason behind the event. Miami-Dade County Mayor and VFC co-founder Daniella Levine Cava also took the stage to honor the foundation’s legacy and mission. The night closed with a spirited dance party led by DJ Zog.
“This incredible outpouring of support will allow us to continue providing vital resources and programs,” said VFC CEO Kadie Black. From school supplies to college tours, the funds raised will help give foster children the normalcy and hope they deserve.
After four decades of service, Voices For Children remains a lifeline for some of Miami’s most vulnerable youth—and this gala was a powerful reminder that the community is ready to keep fighting for their future.
