The Golden Globes have officially announced that comedian, writer, and actress Nikki Glaser will return as host for the 84th Annual Golden Globes, scheduled to air live on Sunday, January 10, 2027. The ceremony will broadcast on CBS and stream on Paramount+ in the United States. As one of the first major awards shows of the entertainment season, the event is expected to once again bring together the biggest names in film, television, and podcasting.

Glaser previously hosted the Golden Globes in 2025 and 2026, earning widespread praise for her bold humor and sharp comedic delivery. Her return marks a historic continuation, as she was the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo. Known for her fearless comedic style and quick improvisation, Glaser’s opening monologues have become a highlight of the ceremony.

Her most recent monologue generated significant attention online, attracting nearly 14 million views within the first 36 hours across Golden Globes social media platforms. The performance helped set the tone for an energetic and memorable evening celebrating excellence in entertainment. Organizers believe her return will once again bring excitement and humor to Hollywood’s most festive awards night.

Helen Hoehne, President of the Golden Globes, expressed enthusiasm about Glaser’s return. She praised the comedian for her comedic precision, authenticity, and commanding stage presence, noting that her ability to connect with audiences has made her an ideal host for the prestigious ceremony.

Glaser herself shared her excitement about returning for a third time. In her signature humorous style, she joked that hosting again not only makes it the greatest job she has ever had, but also means she can finally “be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord” to her sister, who has three children.

Over the past few years, Glaser has become one of comedy’s most influential voices. After being named “Comedian of the Year” by The New York Times in 2024, she continued her momentum with the HBO special “Someday You’ll Die,” which earned nominations from the Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, and Critics Choice Awards, along with a Writers Guild of America (WGA) win. She also made her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live and continues to tour internationally.

Looking ahead, Glaser has several major projects in development. She will appear alongside Kim Kardashian in Eva Longoria’s upcoming Netflix comedy “The Fifth Wheel.” She is also set to co-write, produce, and star in a comedy inspired by the classic game MASH for Paramount Pictures. Additionally, she will star in and co-produce a new romantic comedy for Universal Pictures with producer Judd Apatow. Fans will also see her next stand-up special, “Good Girl,” premiering on Hulu on April 24, 2026.

The Golden Globes, often referred to as “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” remain one of the most widely watched awards ceremonies globally. The previous ceremony and its associated specials reached over 21.7 million viewers in the United States and more than 27 million viewers internationally across 169 territories. With Glaser returning as host, the 2027 show is expected to continue the tradition of celebrating the best achievements in film, television, and podcasting.
