In a landmark gesture of cultural generosity, the Henry and Rose Pearlman Foundation has announced it will gift its entire art collection to three major U.S. institutions: the Brooklyn Museum, LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), and MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York). Known for its stunning array of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and modern works, the Pearlman Collection will be shared among these museums in an innovative arrangement aimed at expanding public access and offering fresh curatorial perspectives.
Before the works are permanently housed, the collection will embark on a final traveling exhibition. Village Square: Gifts of Modern Art from the Pearlman Collection to the Brooklyn Museum, LACMA, and MoMA will debut at LACMA in February 2026. This unique distribution model promises to keep the spirit of the Pearlmans alive—celebrating generosity, accessibility, and the evolving life of art in public institutions.
